Today, during a launch event in China Samsung unleashes it new high-end flip smart phone, called the Samsung W2018, reported first by the GizmoChina. Numerous of the specs of the W2018 are on par with the Mote 8 and S8, just with one exception that’s the camera lens.
The Samsung W2018 is the latest edition to the W’line family of Samsung that gets upgraded every year with a new flip phone. Also it is the 10th anniversary of the W series, and this is still popular in Asia. They are usually charged higher than the global Typical Samsung flagships, like the Note 8 and the S8. A very cheesy ad goes for this phone saying hi to Bixby and leaves a question mark asking what true luxury is.
Samsung states that the Samsung W2018 comes with 12 megapixel rear camera with an aperture of f/1.5, which is capable of capturing sharp images in low lights than the other rival phones can hardly do. It also has 5 megapixels secondary or front camera. Through its built-in the camera can sense when there’s enough light to make use of and switch it to the f/2.4 and capture higher amount of the background in the pictures. Instead of Oreo the phone will be launching with Android Nougat.
The W2018 phone has OLED 4.2 inch full HD front display, and a 4.2 full HD of inner display. It has a number keypad and directional pad. Like other Samsung models there’s a finger print scanner beside the rear camera, and for voice assistance a Bixby button. The phone comes in gold and in platinum in a glass and metal body that’s protected by Gorilla glass. The phone has a 6GB of RAM and is equipped with the Snapdragon Qualcomm 835 processor, with 64GB internal and expandable 256GB storage options. It is powered with a 2,300 MAh battery.
To intrigue the passion for luxury buying, Samsung claims that W2018 buyers might be getting perks of buying like concierge help at subways and airports. The phone will first get released in China and price not yet known.
